Electronia rode on the resounding success of CABSAT 2007 to showcase some of its latest creations
in the field of ICT, including the region's first Tier 4 Data Center that hosts a carrier neutral,
carrier class Internet Exchange, Grid Computing Center and VSAT Farm along with a Teleport. Also
a big feature of its participation at the 13th installment of the event was its remarkable
disaster recovery solutions trusted by the United Nations for its disaster recovery operations.
CABSAT is the leading tradeshow for the Middle East's Satellite Communications, Cable, Satellite,
Broadcast and Production industries.
CABSAT2007 brought together professionals in the regional electronic media and satellite
communications industry, creating a common platform for fostering networks and exchanging ideas.
Electronia has used the event to bolster knowledge and create markets for its offerings, as well
as use the opportunity to meet with global and regional players.

CABSAT has been growing steadily and the 2007 was the biggest event yet, with a total exhibition area
of 17,310 sq. m. and 580 exhibiting companies from 50 countries. The retention rate of CABSAT 2007 was
over 95%. The number of visitors was at an all-time high of 8,530 (43% Overseas, 57% Local).
Aside from the solutions mentioned, Electronia also displayed its state-of-the-art VSAT/Broadband
Service that uses a highly advanced Enterprise MF-TDMA Mesh/Star/ Hybrid VSAT platform that has the
lowest latency and highest security, throughput, and reliability; Rapid Deployment Communications

Electronia Showcases Leading Solutions at Security Exposition
Electronia successfully participated in the Second Security Exposition held at Riyadh, KSA, from
April 27 to April 30, 2008. The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Information.
Electronia joined the region's leading security companies to share the company's latest innovations
in the field, including surveillance sensors, access control system, communications detection and
monitoring, vehicle and driver identification and tracking system, command and control center,
recording, and analysis center.
Electronia featured a wide range of novel security solutions including its Electronic Identification
and Tracking System (EITS) for people and vehicle, national ID, Access & Attendance, Airport Security,
Mass Transit, disaster recovery vehicles, Fuel, Health Card, Document Tracking, Voting, Fleet Monitoring,
and Insurance.
The need to gather together the leading security companies in the exposition was prompted by the
perceived need to strengthen security system installations in the region, especially in the wake
of unabated increase in the rate of security breaches all over the world, the proliferation of
fraudsters, and the increasing technological sophistication of criminals using technologies which
are freely available in the marketplace.

Second International Arab Aviation Security Conference
Electronia successfully participated in the Second International Arab Aviation Security Conference
held at Jeddah from March 26 to March 28, 2007.
Taking a cue from the conference theme, "Working together against civil aviation threats",
Electronia displayed its expertise in the field of security applied to aviation situations
with its innovative products and solutions including its unique Electronic Identification and
Tracking System (EITS), baggage and undercarriage scanner, body and vehicle scanner, barriers
and turnstiles, CCTV surveillance system, and ground radar systems.
Delegates identified some of the key areas where the threats against civil aviation have developed
since the inaugural conference, which was held in Abu Dhabi in 2006.
Liquid chemical threats, hijacking and passenger screening were some of the key issues that
participant identified as areas on which to focus strategy development.
Hosted under the patronage of Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation and the
International Civil Aviation Organization (IACO) the conference attracted aviation security
experts from the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US who gathered to discuss matters of
aviation security through a series of presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions
under the slogan "Working Together Against Civil Aviation Threats".
Regional aviation authorities including the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC) and the Arab
Air Carriers Commission (AACC) were joined by security advisors from aircraft manufacturers
including Boeing and Raytheon and other international groups such as the US' Transport Security
Administration (TRS) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The conference was a perfect vehicle to showcase Electronia's security solutions which were
envisioned to help solve the growing threats in mass transport systems. Airline and train travels
for example, had been hit by terrorist attacks the past few years alone.

At GITEX 2007, Electronia featured the region's first Tier 4 Data Center hosting a carrier

The MENA region is currently the third fastest growing IT market in the world after India and

GCC countries alone are projected to spend around AED 18.12 billion (nearly US$ 5 billion)
this year. Out of this, Saudi Arabia is expected to have a 46.8% share and the UAE 30.4%.
